Grande Papilio

The name Papilio is handed down from a previous project by Naoto Fukasawa, the chair Papilio (2008). The back resembles a butterfly that spreads its wings in flight; hence, the choice of the name and the origin of the large armchair designed along the same lines. Both seats present a constant thickness that widens at the top for a comfortable, relaxing posture. The armchair "Piccola Papilio," which followed in 2010, is smaller and completes the family of furnishings.
